Couples Therapy
IFS Couples Therapy
I have completed Basic IFIO Training (Intimacy from the Inside Out), which is an experiential model of couple’s therapy based on the model, Internal Family Systems. IFIO helps each individual in the relationship understand their “parts” and how those parts contribute to the dynamic. By understanding your partner’s internal world, and making connections with your own, you will have the tools to experience a deeper connection than ever before. This is for couples in any stage of their relationship. Both heterosexual and same sex couples are welcome in my office.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
“Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic, evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, drawing primarily from attachment theory to facilitate the creation of secure, vibrant connection with self and others. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFT helps clients identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress. It’s effective in treating individuals (EFIT), couples (EFCT), and families (EFFT), addressing a wide range of issues from marital distress to individual anxiety and trauma.” This excerpt is from the ICEEFT website. Learn more at the ICEEFT Website.
I have completed the EFT externship, as well as skills 1 & 2.
Individual Therapy
Brainspotting: Because sometimes talk therapy isn’t enough.
“Where you look affects how you feel!” I am a Phase 1 Brainspotting practitioner. Brainspotting helps connects the mind and body, and is different than traditional talk therapy. “Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with Biolateral sound, which is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.” Learn more HERE.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (Prep & Integration ONLY)
“Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) has recently emerged as one of the most innovative treatments for depression, particularly treatment resistant depression (TRD), and shows promise as well in treating anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder and other psychological conditions. Integrating pharmacological, psychological, and archetypal/transpersonal elements, KAP” This excerpt is from Polaris Insight Center. Learn more at Polaris Insight Center.
I have completed Modules 1 & 2 for KAP training is still in progress for other modules, so that I can become fully-certified. Please note that I am not able to provide KAP medication, but have providers that I refer to, in order to determine if you are a good candidate for KAP. I have a special interest in working on preparing for KAP as well as integration of KAP and other psychedelic therapies. Integration is an important part of psychedelic therapies.
